GONE FISHING

Many-a-time president of the White Clay Fly Fishers, Ed O'Donnell makes it look easy . . . "with a little help from his friends . . ."

"For nearly half a century," writes Sean O'Donnell in Fly Fishing Delmarva, "members of the White Clay Fly Fishers have been actively involved in advocacy for the health of the White Clay Creek. The club's members are routinely involved in community outreach programs, stream clean-ups, stream improvement projects, and trout stockings throughout the year."

"Give a man a fish and he has food for a day; teach him how to fish and you can get rid of him for the entire weekend." - Zenna Schaffer

KEITH THOMAS, current president of the White Clay Flyfishers shared this picture of ED O'DONNELL, reigning King of the one-fly contest held every October. "The one-fly contest ended in a hat trick for Ed O'Donnell," wrote Thomas. "He outdid himself this year. He had the most fish(41), the most trout(1), and of course he also had the biggest trout."
