Wilmington, Delaware Mayor Honors City's            Firefighters on WFD's 100th Anniversary

Hannah Edelman of the Delaware News Journal reports that "Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki, who watched the parade from a review stand in front of Rodney Square, said he felt an 'enormous sense of pride.' He was especially happy with the turnout and the 'sincere respect and affection' that attendees showed for first responders.

"While the pandemic has changed the jobs and lives of many first responders like those in Saturday's parade, Purzycki said, the city 'never doubted for a moment their professionalism, their dedication and their willingness to respond when called.'"
